Located about 2,400 light-years away in the constellation Cygnus, the Western Veil Nebula (NGC 6960, C34) is also known as the Witch's Broom Nebula or the Filamentary Nebula. Part of the Cygnus Loop supernova remnant (Sh2-103), the Veil Nebula is a cloud of heated ionized gas (oxygen, sulfur, and hydrogen) and dust.
